26-DAY CHALLENGE #1: Editorial Cartoons (DAY SIX)

It was reported through The Age that roughly 4,000 health professionals began a strike today due to a a standstill being reached in a dispute with the government over money being put into health.  Among these workers were radiation therapists, radiographers, occupational therapists and social workers.

Kathy Jackson, the state secretary of the Health Services Union, stated that there may be chaos present at hospitals during Christmas as non-emergency procedures, such as the x-ray and treatment of broken arms, would not be dealt with, in favour of emergency procedures.

I felt sick to the stomach today when I read the news report that is the basis for this cartoon. 

An Australia-wide child pornography ring has been busted.  

 

Ever since I was young(er)...

During my days and nights of growing up, sometimes I would use my drawing skills to create special presents for those I loved (and sometimes for those I didn't have much money to buy presents for - but only occasionally, of course!).

I still get this awesome feeling when I'm creating something special for some people who are very dear to me.
